Young Leaders

Young Leaders are aged 14-18 and can be a part of Senior Section at the same time if they wish.

What Young Leaders do

Young Leaders form part of a unit Leadership Team. Alongside adult volunteers in the unit they plan and deliver the section programme to the girls in the unit. 

The also support the unit at events.

Who can be a Young Leader

Girls who have completed their time at Guides and wish to take the next step in their Guiding journey; Duke of Edinburgh participants aged 13+ not currently members of Guiding; Girls aged 14+ looking to join Guiding for the first time as a Young Leader. 

Ideal for anyone looking to get experience working with children.

Awards

Young Leaders can work towards Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Commonwelath Award, Queen's Guide Award.

Uniform

They have a poloshirt, zipper and a shirt to choose from!
